Crosslings

These are half-human, half fae children: a rare phenomena only documented in a handful of cases -- though increasing since the Uprising.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Though it varies from Crossling to Crossling, most experience physical mutations such as abnormal eye colour, pointed ears, discoloured skin, etc. There have also been a few cases of Crosslings with limbs usually attributed to faekind such as wings, tails, horns, etc -- though these are usually stunted and/or nonfunctioning.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The abilities witnessed in Crosslings vary widely depending on the species of the fae parent and the sex of the human parent -- if the human is paternal the child will show more traits of humanity and vice versa. However, most Crosslings exhibit heightened sensory awareness which can present as hypersensitivity to light, sound, touch, etc, but also as superior night vision or reflexes.
