Tricks are the innate special abilities that all cats and dogs possess. They are more subtle and than spells, more grounded in the very essence of the cat and dog than the crude magics that humans have developed to force nature to conform with will. Cats and dogs are often born with particular tricks associated with their breeds, but they can learn them from others as well. Cats and dogs treasure these secret, personal abilities that allow them an edge in life in their eternal battle against the forces of darkness.
