Revels Philanthropists Revealed to be Monsters; Slain By Local Celebrity

Dateline: Khazigur Barrenyke District, Revels Park East; 7 Tarshiviel's month, 12090: A loud explosion and fire at Villa Rhodia in the Revels district in the early hours of 6 Tarshiviel was due to an unlikely but confirmed Black Dragon, which authorities claim was the true form of none other than Rhodios Colescu. Colescu is locally well-known as a civil architect of several road and park structures in the city, as well as more recently being awarded the contract for creating the construction plans for the orphanage slated to replace St. Ulven's in the Gulcrest District. He and his twin sister Rhoda are likely even more famous among a certain set of citizens as the hosts of some of the most decadent and longest-running parties in the district, if not the entire city.   Last night was no exception, with Villa Rhodia as the site of an especially boisterous crowd including several bards and actors from the theatrical production of 'Anna of Aividais', now in its triumphant third month at the Theatrum Albion, as well as the chorus singers and female dancers from the 'Tellus Mater' musical review. Also seen in attendance were leading members of the horse racing and casino houses, as well as perhaps a hundred other attendees from Barrenyke, The Palerine, and Temple Shores.   One known citizen of The Cloister was in attendance as well, much to the good fortune of the rest of the city; Camilla Engel, the daughter of Naarodian Archduke Rakkir, was involved in the events that made Rhodius reveal himself in his true form; this may have been brought on by the fire that broke out in the Villa Rhodia gaming room, or the Dragon himself may have caused the fire as a distraction. Members of Miss Engel's entourage including Mott Elddir, Grims Angel, Zurian of Tarshiviel and a pair of unnamed Elven associates, one Drow and one Dovalni, assisted in freeing innocent attendees from the burning villa.   Ultimately the group squared off against the black dragon at great personal peril, and were successful in bringing it down with remarkable efficiency, leading some to suspect the creature was already injured, or perhaps somehow magical or illusory in nature. However the dragon carcass, far from being illusory, poses a significant roadblock in the area, along with the rubble of the collapsed front section of the villa. Residents and mercantile wagons are advised to use the Via Collossia or Via Hippa as alternate routes to get around the destruction for the time being, until the city game warden's office is able to fully cut apart and remove the carcass.   Six bodies have been found in the rubble of the home and event space, but only two have been identified; their names are being withheld by request of their families. It is suspected, but not known, that Rhoda and her husband Macer may be among the six. However if Rhoda and Rhodius were both truly twins, Rhoda may have used some other means of escape. Any information regarding the current whereabouts of either of the Colescus or of Macer Aaronios, husband of Rhoda Colescu, should be given at once to the proper authorities.
