Squinty eye from an alchemy accident in his younger days, blamed on years of having to teach acolytes and journeymen as he rose up through the ranks in the Wizard's Guild

Physical quirks

Magic-infused clothing assisted him in walking and keeping his hands steady into his extreme old age; healing and magically-granted immunities to disease and toxins prolonged his life but in his last decade or so, his muscular shaking was such that he was unable to properly cast spells with somatic components requiring precise movements.

Special abilities

Literally the mightiest wizard in the entire Empire, but his raw power probably still fell short of the clerical magicusers who can tap directly into the mana streams of their respective Gods, both in Toz and in the Empire. Certainly the most powerful 'secular' magic user, and an inspiration for the two generations since his final passing, much like Houdini was for 'magic users' on Earth.

Preferred rich navy and midnight blue velour and velvet. Usually bare-headed when not wearing the elaborate Archmaster headgear of his order.

Hugh Laurie as 'House' would be an excellent analog both in appearance (though Dimasco was much older in years and somewhat older in appearance) and in personality - an impatient genius with little concern for or interest in other people's feelings, especially if they stood between him and a solution to a puzzle.
