Mama Black

(a.k.a. Gatekeeper to the Ephemeral Realm,)

Mama Black is the goddess of birth, death, and of children. When Cultivo was newly created, she and her husband Lockstitch found it pleasing to cover the planet with life. Her husband formed their bodies, stitching them together from the earth, water, and air, and she planted in them a spirit. She grew so attached to these beings that she created a second world, one of pure spirit where the souls of the living could go when their mortal forms ceased to be.
After The Creadores incarnated. Mama Black took the form of warm, matronly woman with soft, delicate features, akin to a porcelain doll. Seeing her children suffering at the hands of the Phyte, she opened her temple to the masses, making it into an orphanage, which is run to this day. She was a warm, loving individual who genuinely cared for all, but her duties were too great to maintain mortal form, and she has since ascended once more, leaving her chosen few in charge of the Orphanage.
