Axiom Beck

Axiom Beck is the seat of governmental power for the The Republic of Getor, and the largest city on Orden. Located on Skycut Mesa, the sprawling city is one of the safest and most luxurious places to live on the continent. The sheer cliffs of the mesa, combined with the few roads leading to its surface gives Axiom Beck incredible defensive value. In addition, the city is located on top of a natural aquifer which has been harnessed to irrigate the mesa, creating lush farmland, even in times of drought.

Demographics

The city is mostly populated by Suevirans and Espuna, with a relatively minor population of Bakdreskr.

Government

The city's governance is divided into two halves. The people's and the city councils. For each of the city's five districts, there exists a people's council of elected officials who represent and manage the district's property, public works, law enforcement, and citizens. In addition, there are several city councils which do not take districts into account. These councils manage the city's infrastructure, zoning, industry, and agriculture. Each of these councils, both people's and city elect an individual to represent that council when attending the city's highest council, the Synod, which handles major responsibilities like law creation and budgeting.
