Aguasolido

Aguasolido are a species of Cultivim resembling various marine invertibrates. Aguasolido are amorphous, resilient, and inquisitive. They range in size from the diminutive Mercurial jelly to the legendarily titanic Monolith Millenapod and universally have the ability to cloak themselves and fit through even the smallest cracks.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Aguasolido, much like their non-elemental counterparts, are invertibrates. Unlike their non-elemental counterparts, however, aguasolido have no organs. Instead, their bodies are covered in a thin skinlike membrane comprised of ultrahydrophobic material. This material gives the aguasolido its shape as well as allowing it to move more swiftly both underwater and through the air. Instead of organs, aguasolido have special sacs just below the skin which break water molecules apart into hydrogen and oxygen, which is used for energy, propulsion, and buoyancy.
Aguasolido skin is thin but tough, and allows the elemental to squeeze through incredibly tiny spaces, as well as allowing themselves to camouflage themselves at will.

Biological Traits

Though every Aguasolido has the ability to squeeze through most any gap in search of sustenance, some have exceptionally tough shell-like enclosures which can be hardened with internal air pressure.

Genetics and Reproduction

Aguasolido are asexual and do not reproduce. They are born from precipitation and from natural bodies of water on Orden.

Ecology and Habitats

Aguasolido require freshwater to survive, and as such, tend to congregate around ponds and lakes. They can be seen drifting lazily after storm systems and skimming the bottoms of clouds.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Aguasolido consume freshwater. This primarily comes from rainwater, ponds, and lakes.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

While the largest concentration of Aguasolido is located in Brumebonnet Bosk, Aguasolido can be found up and down the western coast or around ponds and lakes.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Aguasolido are able to sense bodies of water and predict where rain will fall, which is where they congregate.

Average Weight

Aguasolido have an incredibly variable weight, thanks to the way their bodies function. As they are constantly manipulating their buoyancy with ballast, it's difficult to gauge.

Average Length

The smallest Aguasolido, the mercurial drifter is only about the size of a closed fist whereas the largest, the legendary Monolith Millenapod is rumored to be more than 500 feet long.
