Rangifrost

Description

These bipedal deer use their power over ice to build domed lairs, but they seem to have a connection with ice that goes beyond the physical. By peering through ice crystals, a Rangifrost can see glimpses of future events - a power they use to great effect to defend their territory. Most of them attract a pack of Snudolfs, who feel safer under a Rangifrost's protection and share its lair. In turn, the Rangifrost will lead them in battle, using its clairvoyant power to set up ambushes and prey on other crytures for their essence.

Combat

With a Rangifrost present, Snudolfs will act in a more strategic fashion, more akin to pack hunters than skittish prey. Rangifrosts themselves prefer to lead from behind, choosing to engage in melee only to defend vulnerable Snudolfs. From range, they focus on crippling multiple enemies with lingering effects, then focus fire to take them down, one by one.
