Konane

Bio

Konane is friendly and energetic girl who currently lives in Rootrun with her twin sister, Leilani. The two hail from a tropical island off the southern coast of the continent, where they met Archmage Lucas Loric while he was on an expedition to study new crytures. Archmage Loric brought them back to Rootrun to train them in the art of conjuring.
Konane works part-time as a cook at The Spicy River between doing missions for the Rootrun militia.

Ambition

Konane was enthralled by conjuring when Lucas Loric first brought the concept to her island tribe. They had yet to discover binding crystals, so the concept of a human being able to control crytures was completely new to them. Since then, Konane has sought to learn as much about binding and conjuring crytures as possible, hoping to return to her home and teach the art to others one day.
She also has gained a strong affection towards crytures since becoming a conjurer, so she often goes out of her way to learn about and bind new crytures.

Strengths

Konane is tenacious and enthusiastically dedicated to her craft. As such, she knows a great deal about crytures and their behaviors. She is quite physically fit for her size and always full of energy, as long as she has a full stomach.
Konane has taken up archery as her martial art of choice and is reasonably proficient at it. She wields several crytures with a mix of types and roles, so she usually is able to fill gaps in a group's tactical make-up.

Weaknesses

Sometimes Konane's enthusiasm gets the better of her, causing the girl to throw caution to the wind, or simply forget to take precautions at all. She can also be quite naive and gullible, both because of her youth, as well as her tribal upbringing.
In battle, Konane is easily overpowered by melee combatants due to her small stature and lack of training. She also has difficulty wearing cumbersome armor. Her crytures also tend to be on the lower end of the power scale, given that she's still new to the trade.

Astral Pocket

Konane's astral pocket resembles the islands that she used to call home, but with the addition of a sprawling beachside mansion in the architectural style of buildings from the continent. Colors appear to be especially vibrant, and flowering plants are abundant.
The island itself appears to be relatively small, but as one walks deeper into the interior, dense foliage and carnid links pack together tightly, and the sunlight fades to darkness, making it impossible to find the center. Outside the island, the sea seems to extend forever into a thick, pinkish mist on the horizon.
