Personal history

Amongst the Gods, Oblidas is said the be the most aloof besides maybe Xeudos, and possibly the second oldest. Choosing to simply sat back alongside Eralaz and Xuedos watching the other dieties that took part in The Great Making. He took joy in watching the others and their children, though none could tell. When the First War of Want began, he led his forces with the same aloofness he always displayed. Only the gravest of sins and heinous of acts could force out emotions from sad pain to righteous rage.   Like the other gods, Oblidas took notice of the Tieflings, a newly emerging race of those born physically touched by the corruption of the Ruinous Powers. As if soldiers to war, time marched relentlessly forward, bringin the capture of the All-Wanter and the end of the First War of Want. Oblidas also watched the growing persacution of the Tieflings, acting once it had reached fever pitch. Though blood was needlessly spilt to do so, Oblidas and his people saved those that would come to his banner. Through the god of the dark they found a place they could call home and be welcome.   This brought a joy and happiness of for a time, however, the inevitable future cared not for the fleeting preset. The Second War of Want began as the first did, in blood and fire. With peace in the World-That-Was a dream, Oblidas led his people to war against the Ruinous Powers. Despite the weapons, powers, and strategies employed, the Ruinous Powers were only temporarily set back. What started out as a forward march became a slow grinding reverse.   It was once defeat seemed to be the only outcome that hope or fate played it's fickle hand. It took the form of the God of Light, Edaxerlan, and a tool based on the research of the murdered Aichunn'cul. Though the butchery of the Tieflings at the hands of Edaxerlan's Nasculum left tension between him and Oblidas, both Dark and Light Gods understood what no cooperation would cause. Oblidas helped Edaxerlan with the The Great Crystal Project, offering a portion of his essence and energies to be grown into what would become one of the fourteen. Oblidas and his forces continued to fight a losing battle, finding solace in the time they bought with blood and lives postponed the end of the world long enough for it to be saved.   Finally that fated day came, the day the World-That-Was broken. Oblidas was not there when it happened. He did not see the Arch-Traitor Itatma murder her elder brother Roidras, in order to stop Edaxerlan from activating the Great Crystals. However, like his fellow gods and the Fiends, he felt creation break in response to their activation. The pressure of the Great Crystals could be felt by Oblidas even then.   As creation started to ever so slowly take it's new shape, Oblidas becomes aware of what seems to be a growing pandemic of undeath. In ironic timing, Edaxerlan and Xeudos came to him, speaking of the rising tide of undeath and the now missing Eralaz. Together the trio depart with an honor guard, in agreement to go in search of the missing god. At first the venture was uneventful, though this quickly changed as they began to enouncter more and more undead. It became apparent that they would need greater numbers to weather the moving dead when their mortal forces were wittled down to half in days long uninterupted combat.   It was during this retreat that the unexpected and seemingly unthinkable happened. Either by some form of teleportation by hiding in wait, Eralaz appeared before the other gods of death with a vast sea of undead behind him. The confrontation was short but the tension in the air was thick enough to roll down skin like sweat. Eralaz made the first move by commanding his forces forward, sending them surging about himself, disappearing into the sea as far as Oblidas could tell. As soon as the first of the dead moved forward, the gods and their remaining mortal guard began a retreat. Stopping only long enough to fire a shot or toss a grenade behind them.   To their surprise, they outran the horde and managed to their homelands and prepare for an attack. When the undead came, they found Oblidas and his peoples ready to bring death to the dead. The fighting was brutal, but the God of Darkness and his peoples were not found wanting. Preparations where put in place to ensure the rebuilding of their realm would continue in his absence while the orders to muster were given. His fellow gods needed to be informed of Eralaz's betrayal. Shortly after departing, Oblidas felt the pressure of the Great Crystals increase a hundred-fold as the gods began to fade into the forming Roth'Eld'Wor    Again and again Oblidas and his peoples came to the aid of their fellow gods and mortals. Though there were tensions due to the presence of the Tieflings, this would come to be a part of the building blocks used in making the future Kings' Alliance and Inquisition. The undead were defeated and the fading gods took his forces home, resting mere months before a surprise came unexpected. Aid had been sent to them from those they had helped, in the form of bodies and materials. Oblidas found himself at peace with fully fading into the spirit world, and put himself to preparing for when Gadmorenda comes.

Education

Though not the smartest of the gods in comparison to others such as Hosac, Barkmis, and Rac, Oblidas is among the most well learned by virtues of age and his role as a keeper and dealer of hidden knowledge.

Employment

Before the end of the World-That-Was, Oblidas served as a god of death as the final temptation. His role was to offer another life, at the price of damnation.   Through a method only he knows, those deemed worthy are given a chance to return, temporarily bestowed with knowledge of how to do so.   Now Oblidas works to fight the Ruinous Powers, the God-Fiends, and prepare for when Gadmorenda comes

Accomplishments & Achievements

Though Oblidas led his peoples and earned many glories and praises in the Wars of Want, he is most known for taking in the Tieflings as his people.
