Kingdom of Orthura

An Orc kingdom that survived thousands of years and multiple civil wars only to eventually fall in war against the forces of the Platicalex colony, Nucalex.

Structure

Orthura structure falls into the general norm for the scions of Orzemus with Warchief Gorsk acting as the de facto leader.

Culture

Orthuran culture fell into the same standard of all Orc kind, rule and society in general is about fighting and strength. Mental strength is respected and valued, but minds without muscle are worthless.

Public Agenda

From the start of the war until the end of Orthura, the public agenda was to kill the Off-Worlders as a sacrifice to Orzemus.

History

The kingdom of Orthura goes back thousands of years, possibly back to the World-That-Was. Originally, the kingdom began as several Orc clans, warring against each other for reasons that are long since forgotten. Eventually the clans were united under a single cunning and brutal Orc Warchief, one so mighty that they named the city after him. Eventually Orthura passed and a new Warchief took the throne. It seemed, as the years counted past, that Orthura was almost constantly at war, either with foes outside the kingdom or with itself in multiple civil wars.

Disbandment

Orthura's end came with the conclusion of the final battle of the War of Birth, a battle that culminated in Mithlonde the Silver annihilating the capitol and all those inside in a sacrifice that buried the city in ice.

Legislative Body

As the de-facto leader of Orthura, Gorsk also acts as its Lawchief, with a large portion of consequences being the standard brutal for Orcs society.

Judicial Body

Gorsk's enforcers are known as Law-brutes, relishing the opportunity to flex their muscles and authority as Gorsk's personal police force.
