Utility

It is used to extract the Crystal Energy from the main crystal in the Crystal Cavern. It was discovered as a way to draw energy from the main crystal and place it in an Energy Prism.

Access & Availability

Only one is needed at a time to extract energy, but smaller ones can be used on the smaller crystals or at the main crystals of temporary islands. Only the government is allowed to use it.

Discovery

In 78 PS, the government was holding a competition to see who could create a technology that could extract more energy from the main Crystal and put that energy into a glass prism. In 79 PS, a natural science professor at the Crystal City University by the name of McOllim discovered the answer. The technology, dubbed the McOllim Extractor, was an hourglass shaped device that drew the energy into a small marble then magnified the energy with a curved glass. This device only filled one prism at a time, but it brought the prism to full brightness.
