Retribution Watchtower
Sitting within a a few hundred feet of the border to the Retribution Wastes, the watchtower is the only structure in the surrounding area. Made of limestone that has been weathered across the roughly 3 decades it's existed, it continues to proudly stand as a bastion of relative safety and shelter from the harsh elements and dangerous beasts that prowl nearby.
The watchtower was originally constructed by the Russian government after the events of the Cataclysm, to act as a forward outpost and garrison. At the time the Russians said it was for the protection of the religious caravans that were flocking to the area, but in reality was that was an excuse to establish a military foothold in the region. Eventually the Orthodoxy and the Daoists grew disgruntled at the military presence and drove out the Russian forces.
Since then, the watchtower has been used as a staging ground for roving bands of mercenaries, home to all factions and religious groups who were braving the untamed lands. They would use it to rest and recover, as a roof over your head along the border to the Wastes was a rare and valuable thing.
Oftentimes certain groups would take up residency in the watchtower for extended periods of time. Typically they would open their doors for passing groups, but it is not uncommon for violence to spring up around the structure if space is limited or the groups are from different religious organizations.

Architecture
The tower is built from weathered limestone bricks, with sturdy square walls and a large enough interior to comfortably house around 50 people. It rises high into the sky, with rooms along every side and windows at regular intervals. At the top is a lookout post, open to the elements, that provides an excellent view in all directions.
