The Suns and Moon of Crol

The world of Crol has two suns, one yellow and one blue, and one moon. The yellow sun, known as Legana "the Warming Gift", shines brightly and warmly during the day, obscuring the stars. The blue sun, known as Grixis "the Blinding Knife", shines at night but is blocked by Crol's moon, known as Volux "the Shield". This means that Grixis is perpetually seen in total solar eclipse from the surface of Crol. This effect has been reported in real-time from various locations on the continent, so regardless of where one stands, at night only the corona of Grixis around the edges of Volux are visible. No real heat is felt from Grixis, nor is light cast by it substantial, however it does obliterate the star-field immediately around its presence. Grixis is so-called, because to gaze upon it overlong unprotected, even given its pale radiance, will strike the observer blind. Once every  years, Grixis evades Volux's obscuring, and becomes progressively more visible and brighter over the course of 27 days, until it fully escapes and for a full day, Crol has no night, with Grixis rising as Legana falls and remaining ascendant until Legana again emerges. The day immediately following this event, Grixis makes no appearance at all the following evening, resulting in pitch darkness lit only by the stars, an event known throughout the Empire as Tsalignist "Skyfall". The next night, Grixis reappears, and over the subsequent 27 days, Volux slowly overtakes it, until Grixis is again hidden.   -Excerpt from The Heavens of Crol and its Bodies
