Lira Mosswhisper, is an elderly Molefolk linguist and historian renowned for her knowledge of rare dialects and cryptic languages spoken in the Verdant Expanse, especially the unique dialects of the Whispering Woods. Appearance: Lira is a small, hunched Molefolk with soft, dusty brown fur that’s slightly graying. She wears a collection of scarves and a pair of oversized spectacles that sit on the tip of her nose. Her paws are adorned with rings and charms, each symbolizing different languages she has studied. Her eyes are a striking shade of green, reflecting her perceptive and inquisitive nature. Personality: Lira is gentle, patient, and incredibly curious. Though she's soft-spoken, she possesses a sharp wit and is deeply passionate about her work. She’s known to mutter in multiple languages, sometimes switching mid-sentence, especially when she’s working on a complex translation. She’s not easily startled or distracted, having spent years studying in Seedwater’s quiet libraries and archives. Role and Skills: Lira is Seedwater's most respected linguist, specializing in ancient scripts, fae dialects, and the unique language of the gremlins from the Whispering Woods. She has an extensive knowledge of their colloquialisms, gestures, and cultural references, making her one of the few who can accurately translate for a gremlin. Location: Lira can usually be found at Sylvan Hall, the town’s library and archive, where she has her own workspace filled with scrolls, ancient texts, and odd trinkets gathered from the Whispering Woods.
