Critter Roll - S1E10 - Trust Me, Trust You

General Summary

Opie and Croakus enter the town of Seed Water with the gremlin in tote in search of a translator and are stopped by a squirrelfolk Scout to ask why they brought a gremlin into the town. After some exchange Croakus assures that he has it under control and would take responsibility for him. The squirrel reluctantly shrugs it off and heads off to make sure there aren't any of it's troupes following near by. They head into the Seed Market Opie getting distracted by a apothecary. Croakus gets Opie to follow along as they stumble across some beverfolk Seed Water guards who were having a conversation by the peir. Upon their inquiry aboit a translator the guards tell them about a molefolk named Lira that spends her days in the archive of the Sylvan Hall. They thank them and go on their way eventually making it in and asking the librarian keeper if they knew Lira. He says he does and they would be in a study room down a little bit away. Croakus tried to knock but doesn't get a response twice before he tries to forcefully open the door book having blocked the closing of a sliding door. Through a crack they see Lira face down on the desk forcing themselves in to see if she was alright. It turned out they were sleeping and through some convincing get her to translate to the gremlin as they agree to let him out of his binds if he would take them to their troupe hideout. Croakus asks if he would be able to procure a copy of the spell she used to translate to a scroll to which she says they would have to do her a favor and get Echo Crystals from the Gloomshade Forrest other wise they would be spending a lot of money for her time a resources. They agree as set a time the next day to meet up and make the contract official. Leaving the archive they seek out lodging by finding Brooktail the Verdant Warden Contact of Seed Water. As they do they are directed to the Restful Reed Inn where they gain a room and dinner before going to bed.
