Critter Roll - S1E03 - Cloudy with a Chance of Snakes
General Summary
Continuing where the new adventurers left off the group was stopped midday by the chance of rain. Ellari makes a lean and takes a nap and Zuo helped put up a tent to shelter them. A Red shouldered Hawk notices them make a shelter and lands down near the group. Teravia feeds the Hawk some rolls they were given by Ellari and while she is feeding it they notice a scroll tube on their leg. Teravia tries to reach for it but the hawk pulls back and doesnt let them. Fanala grabs it while its focused on Teravia and the Hawk starts screaching and getting in a fighting stance. Ellari wakes from her slight nap and ses the hawk Fanala eventually giving the scrolltube to Ellari who reads the message inside, a list of items and prices from a trades bussinessman Forehare Amberclaw. Teravia puts the scroll tube back on its leg coaxing it to trust her while its starts to drizzle. Ellari who was sketching the bird in her journal notices the drizzle and tried to help the bird by drying it off and leading it to the lean. Zuo and Fanal took to the tent and Ellari and Teravia and the hawk took to the lean and dried off as the rain started to come down harder. Ellari and Teravia evetually hear a cry out to them from a squirrelfolk who askes to take shelter with them. Teravia agrees and the squirrelfolk runs to the lean and gets dried off by Ellari's magic. The Squirrelfolk introduces themselves as Nibbles and they come to learn that he worked with the missing herbalist as a courier to different towns. As a good gesture of them helping him, and potentially getting him more work from finding the herbalist, he shows them a short cut he uses to make their way to Briarhollow so they can make up for lost time. Nibbles tells them stores of his travels as they take shelter for the rest of the day and by the next mornign Nibbles it gone and the hawk takes off to where Elleri notices is the direction of Briarhollow. The adventurers pack up and make their way to the short cut Nibbles showed them taking a path overgrown with briarvines and other foilage. Carfually not tryign to fall Ellari and Zuo eventually get vines that unaturally tangle around their leg. Teravia acid splashes the vines infront of them as to not get tangled again when a Briarvine Snake falls from the treetops and knocks them prone.
