Critea

Both human kings and dragon lords rule over Critea. There can be between three to four dragon lords ruling over the main cardinal points. Human kings rule the areas on the fringes of a dragon lord's territory. As long as they don't make a nuisance of themselves, most dragon lords allow this. Over the years, human kings with delusions of grandeur have challenged the dragon lords they live near. This normally ends with the death of that king, but sometimes the dragon lord is slain in battle. When this happens, the lord's house is forced further into the territory they once ruled over. If the human king is cruel, they will kill as many of the males as possible, and claim the women as exotic prizes. Since Dracena traditionally mate for life, this results in even more death.
