Finding the Beast asleep, Glinon and his powerful retinue are able to "kill" Karonaks and extract its heart, which Glinon devours raw. Later, Glinon's corpse is found with its stomach torn open, the bodies of hundreds of tiny spiders lying beside him, seemingly killed while he tried to resist... some unknown force.
