Ivahna, a human archmage, settles in a small Incaendian town. She unknowingly encounters the Obsidian Phoenix in a forest outside town and it begins to copy various voices and provide foley to her ventures. She ends up chasing it, and being chased by it, to the other side of the forest where it finally reveals itself, laughing as it flies away.
