A group of ambitious demons try to kill Zuelis-Tyt, intending to take its molten heart to the Crimson Court and present it to Samael in hopes of gaining favor. Though they are seriously injured, Zuelis-Tyt was probably more merciful to them than Samael would have been if they showed up with the Guardian Dog's heart. So there's that.
