Xanathar Guild
Disbandment
After many unsuccessful threats and assassinations against them, the band of adventurers known as the Knights of Braveheart kept causing havoc against the Xanathar Guild. In an attempt to silence them once and for all, Xanathar invited the party to his villa in the suburbs of Doriath. Here lay waiting Xanathar's second in command, several of his top mercenaries, and two zombie beholders. These, however, were surprisingly unable to slay even one of the adventurers. The Knights of Braveheart would then continue down a secret hatch in the villa, coming across the secret criminal base that was Skullport. Here they found a secret sapphire mine surrounding the corpse of an ancient sapphire dragon where the famed Xanathar himself was hiding. After a fearsome fight, Xanathar was killed after being stuck by a high level thunderwave spell. The fight, however, was not all good for the adventurers as one of their own, the newest of the party: Riptide Falone, was slain by Xanathar himself. News of the death of Xanathar spread quickly and soon a huge power vacuum overcame the guild. This caused the fracturing and consequential destruction of the Xanathar guild.
