Death Ritual

Upon the death of a follower of Uri, a colorful funeral pyre is built consisting of brightly painted branches, garlands of colorful flowers, and shiny glass gems. Songs are sung as the pyre with the body is set ablaze just as Uria is directly overhead. It is believed that the smoke from the pyre travels to Uria to be brought to the afterlife by Uri himself.

Holidays

Estivamedius Festival: Voluptium 27 - 33. This seven day festival is a celebration of Uri and marks the midway period of Estiva. Cities and towns hold carnivals complete with games, music, and food and drink. It is culturally appropriate for laborers to take this week as a a holiday, so many use this time to travel to larger cities or even to other nations.
