Upon the death of a devotee of Bahumid, it is the highest honor for the body to be lowered into a cauldron or ladle of molten metal. The metal is then forged into a decorative or functional item given to either the deceased family or apprentice. Traditionally, this item will be an anvil, hammer, sword or shield.
