Angels
An angel is a divine emissary dispatched to the planes to advance its deity's interests for better or worse. Their exalted splendor and demeanor can compel humbled observers to kneel in reverence. Nevertheless, angels can also be agents of destruction, and their arrival may indicate disaster as frequently as it does hope. As the epitome of righteousness and benevolence, an angel is nearly always correct in its assessments. This attribute can foster a sense of superiority in an angel, which manifests when an angel's mission clashes with the objectives of another being. The angel never yields or concedes.
Angels are often revered as divine beings, representing righteousness and benevolence. However, some have fallen to corruption and lost their connection to their deities. The moral compass of an angel is usually infallible, but sometimes pride can lead them astray, causing them to commit evil acts. These actions permanently mark the angel as an outcast.
Although fallen angels retain their power, they are banished from their previous divine affiliation. Many of them resent their exile and rebel against their former deities, seeking rulership over a portion of the Abyss or a place among other fallen angels in the hierarchy of the Nine Hells. However, some fallen angels accept their isolation and choose to live as reclusive hermits in disguise on the Material Plane. If they are redeemed, these angels can become valuable allies dedicated to promoting justice and compassion.
Types of Angels
There are many types of angels in the Heavenly Realm and many of them serve their deity as a part of the Middle Heaven or Middle Court.Archangel (Solar)
The Archangels (Solar in celestial) surpass all other angels in power, and some of them predate the formation of Alacrya and Dicathen. Compared to other angels, they possess absolute authority, and their actual voice emits a piercing sound that has been known to cause excruciating pain to humans. The archangel's might is so feared that even the most powerful fiends cower before them. Only demon lords and arch-devils possess sufficient power to confront them in combat.Seraphim
According to the Creation Deities' orders, Seraphim have abandoned serving a particular deity and now function as guardians of the mortal realm. They possess a distinctive capability of reincarnating as mortals after death, gradually regaining their previous powers along with new ones. Their body displays celestial runes that symbolize the restoration of their former strength. Although the extent of their powers varies considerably, there are reports of some Seraphim being as mighty as archangels.Planetar
Planetars are the divine emissaries of their respective gods, embodying their immense power in physical form. With their abilities, a planetar can summon rain to alleviate a drought or unleash a swarm of insects to decimate crops. These mighty beings possess rippling muscles, hairless skin, opalescent green complexions, and large wings adorned with white feathers. They dwarf most humanoids, expertly wielding colossal swords. Often dispatched to assist formidable mortals in virtuous pursuits, planetars relish missions that involve combating fiendish foes.Deva
Devas act as divine messengers or agents. Due to their nature, they can assume a form that is appropriate to the realm they are sent to. These celestial beings are a combination of weaker celestial spirits that unite their power in order to serve their deity, allowing them to take on the form of any spirit. According to legend, there are angels who assume mortal form for years, providing aid, hope, and courage to the kind-hearted. Although a deva can take any shape, it prefers to appear to mortals as an innocuous humanoid or animal. However, when necessary, it can discard its disguise to reveal a beautiful, humanoid-like creature with silvery skin. Its hair and eyes have an unearthly gleam, and it has large, feathery wings that unfurl from its shoulder blades. The celestial spirits that make up a deva aspire to be selected one day to take on their own individual angelic form.Angels
Angels are commonly known celestial beings, although some of them are among the most powerful and feared entities in the universe. However, they are not as potent as seraphs, archangels, or other higher supernatural beings. Despite this, angels possess various formidable abilities that establish them as a dominant presence in the world. There are several subtypes of angels that are classified based on their job, with guardian angels being one example.Known Angels
