General Summary

Kai'hua, funded by Fengrao's stipend from House V'neef, began attending Draegart's Academy for the Arcane, a thaumaturgic school specialising in summoning. After a period of deliberation, both Galit and Mishal were shipped off to the Cloister of Wisdom for training. While there, they met a familiar face - Calamitous Storm, although he claimed his name was Tragic Typhoon, a common sweeper. That night, Storm met with the pair and they shared some vital information with him about their goals - in return, Storm revealed that he was indeed an Exalt of an type unknown to the Children. Storm agreed to provide some assistance in locating Five Days of Darkness. He also admitted to being in league with the Anathema, although claimed things were not as they seemed. Thrudd was sent out to begin the second tax collection from the landowners of the Scarlet Prefecture, which went fatally poorly for one innkeep, and rather better for Thrudd after that. However, he was scolded by Ragara Dayan upon his return, as dead men pay no debts. Meanwhile, Heavens and Fengrao began attending the Heptagram. Heavens devoured every book of sorcerous knowledge he could get his hands on, astounding his teachers with his grasp of sorcery. Fengrao, on the other hand, spent her time learning the Hundred Ways of Health. Thrudd, with more free time on his hands than anyone else, decided to investigate the site of The Battle of Futile Blood, where the Bull of the North beat back the Tepet Legions. While there, he was calm when brought before the Bull of the North himself, an elderly barbarian with a sunburst motif over his third eye. Heavens received a tipoff from Ledaal Song, that Five Days of Darkness had been seen in Rayura, a small volcanic island chain in the Western Archipelago. With a short word to their teachers, Heavens and Fengrao set off at once, procuring a boat. Storm met with Galit and Mishal again, explaining that he had tipped off Heavens via Song, and that he would like to take Mishal and Galit to a hidden location used to train Anathema, or as he called them, 'Solars'. They left the Cloister at once, and Storm utilised an Invocation of the Way to summon a gateway for the three of them.
