Creation

Creation is a flat, roughly rectangular area about 10,000 miles by 8,000 miles, surrounded on all sides by the Wyld. At the edges of Creation are four elemental poles: Fire to the South, Air to the North, Wood to the East, and Water to the West. At the center of Creation is the Elemental Pole of Earth, which comprises a giant mountain on the Blessed Isle; this pole is the "axle" around which Creation revolves.   Creation is a feudal society ostensibly controlled at the moment by the Scarlet Empress - the Scarlet Empire has a strong hold on the Blessed Isle and most of the Inner Sea - most other areas are held by petty kingdoms, many of whom pay tribute to the Scarlet Empress.   Each of the four directions is primarily dominated by the appropriate Pole of that direction. The North is cold and icy, the West is dominated by ocean broken up by archipelagos, the South by deserts and the East by steadily denser forests.   The Blessed Isle is a continent-sized island at the very centre of Creation, approximately the size of Australia. It is the center of the Realm and the unquestioned dominion of the Dragon-Blooded. It is also home to a variety of significant locations, including the Elemental Pole of Earth, the Imperial Mountain and the Imperial Manse.
