Session 5 Report - Dragon-Blooded are Dicks?

General Summary

The Children commenced a dream meeting to confer with their plans and what had been happening, but were interrupted by an unknown presence attempting to breach their communal dreamspace.   Galit, Heavens, Mishal and Thrudd were left in the Imperial City and needed to organise their transport to the coastal Kugashi Falen manse for Falen Rojas' birthday party. Galit expended the majority of his stipend to charter a boat for several days. Kai'hua and Fengrao had stayed overnight in the Qishi manse of V'Neef, and continued their hire of the coach, arriving to Kugashi Falen first.   Although the Cynis had not been expeecting them, they provided accomodation for the evening and requested that the Children keep to their rooms so the party could be arranged in earnest. All except Kai'hua took to this, with the stealthy Kai searching the premises for a lack of ill deeds.   That morning, the party commenced early, with a force of invited Dynasts arriving to present their gifts to the young Rojas. The Children were introduced to the Cynis matriarch Falen, her husband Sesus Malikas, and his brothers, Sesus Radan and Atara. While Malikas menaced Mishal, Falen made a heavy-handed play for the loyalty of Kai'hua.   After the party had begun to wind down, Falen got to the true point of the days gathering, a quiet auction of slaves to the members invited. During the auction, a slave attempted to assassinate the matriarch, claiming it in name of a revolutionary, Senebau. He was almost immediately subdued by Malikas and his brothers, and taken down to the beach for execution.   The Children tricked Malikas and saved the slave, escaping with him on the boat they came on. Mishal named him Bence, and obscured his slave's brand with further burns. Bence explained a little about the revolutionary forces, that they operated in individual cells so none could break the movement with a single capture, and of Senebau, the leader of the revolution, whom he had met only once. Senebau was supposed to be a dark-skinned man with striking golden eyes, who taught the revolutionaries according to the Imperial Legion text, The Thousand Correct Actions of the Upright Solder.   Back in the Imperial City, the Children attended dinner with Cathak Mae and her betrothed, Tepet Kang. Kang listened with great zeal to the tale regaled to him by Kai'hua of their journey from Mount Namas to the Blessed Isle, and Kang relayed with some difficulty the struggles faced in the campaign against the Anathema general, the Bull of the North. While Kang left the table to attend the bathroom, Mishal pleaded with Mae to make a better choice.   After the dinner, each returned to their new homes. Mishal had word sent to Cathak Cainan that she was ready to join his House, and in the middle of the night, Mae returned to Mishal's chamber through the window.
