Tauren (Bullman) Species in Creacia | World Anvil

Tauren (Bullman)

Anatomy

Tauren are Minotaurs of mostly good, noble nature, with the proud, horned head of bulls and powerful, human-like torsos and arms atop furry and hooved legs. They stand a head and a half taller than most Humans, with broad shoulders and massive hands. Their brown eyes are large, wide-set and almond-shaped. The coloring of the fur of their heads and legs ranges from white to brown to black, and some speckled or spotted. Their chests and arms as hairy as swarthy humans, and mostly deeply tanned or bronzed, especially among the seafaring Taurens of Arathis. Their horns are often curved and adorned with precious metal and stones or tattooed in the patterns and runes of their clan. Taurens prefer loose clothing often in bright colors, and leather, scale or chainmail armor.

Habitat

The vast majority of Taurens are originally from Arathis on the eastern side of the Sea of Shards. The Arathi are a maritime folk who prefer the warmer climes and cities along the coasts, though there are some clans that live in the hills or mountains of the inland Centerlands, such as Baavras or the Godshields. They are spread throughout the Centerlands as some of finest sailors and pirates of Creacia.

Origin

As Beastien, the Taurens were created before the Humans in the time after the Dwarves and Elves by the Feysurge. They quickly took to the sea and established Arathis, but were almost destroyed by the Fireshard Impact and the ensuing Great Darkening. During the First Ruination, they helped the Elves with their ships, and refounded Arathis in its current location on the eastern end of the Tauren Passage. Since then they have spread through the world.
