Kragos Hullbreaker

Towering over eight feet, Kragos is immense even for a Tauren: when he bought the Grinning Griffon 15 years ago, he hired a transmuter to sink the floor another three feet to accommodate the height of his horns. A veteran of the War of the Vales, he is considered to be among the pantheon of Spiran heros of the War, purportedly holding the Bloodgate alone for over an hour while reinforcements came from Kelvor’s Tower, keeping hundreds of Thralls at bay in his magic-negating Shedarplate with untiring sweeps of his ten foot halberd. Both the plate and the halberd, named Talonreach, adorn the walls above the giant hearth in the common room of the Grinning Griffon. Kragos and Captain Coster Morkaiver are good friends, having fought side by side during the War, and the Captain is often found sipping mead at the Griffon. Although Kragos sits on the Council, he distrusts the machinations of local politics and finds Lord Lasserty’s fall from grace dishonorable. As do most who fought with the Spirans, Kragos disdains any Deepvalens (especially Azure Wizards or Dreaders), but nonetheless welcomes them into his establishment as long as they don’t cause trouble. Even though he is over 60 with greying fur and therefore quite old for a Tauren, he is always ready for that trouble, and has been known to say that he has one last battle left in him.
