The Conquest of Yanagon

"Charge men! Cleanse the Devil Worshippers and make the Forest holy for Wirtelkag!"-King Orcan Ironfist, leading his men into battle against the Yanagonya "Oh. We don't worship devils or anything. Do you want to come over and have tea?"-Chief Auika Tuura, walking over to the King as his men charged and politely asking them to stop.

The Conflict

Prelude

The Armies of King Orcan marched north to the Forests of Yanagonya. These were the last territories independent of the Wirtelkag Empire, and once they were taken the whole Isle would be Orcan's. The Wirtelkagans had heard that the Yanagonya were Devil Worshippers and marauders, and so they were eager to cleanse those that would do Wirtelkag harm.

Deployment

The Wirtelkagans marched up to the Woods and prepared to launch barrels of flaming pitch at the forest, destroying the trees. They set up their cannons and were about to launch the barrels when the Chief of the Yanagonya, Chief Auika Tuura walked over to them and asked to speak with them.

The Engagement

Chief Auika talked to Orcan and explained that they didn't actually want to fight, and they would really appreciate it if they didn't launch those barrels. The men all started screaming that they were devil worshippers and bandits, and that they should kill Auika right there. But Orcan let him speak, and Auika eventually explained that they just worshipped an extra Prime Material God that showed up later than the rest and just hung out with them more and that if they really worshipped a devil then that devil would've gotten killed by the other gods long ago. Orcan heard him out and asked to bring a small party to see the Yanagonya people. Auika agreed, and they treated Orcan and his people to a lovely feast where they explained many different parts of their culture to him. Orcan called his men off and the two agreed to begin peace talks about Yanagyon's absorption into the empire.
