Demographics
Dispite bring quite large, it isn't very diverse with many people who live in the the nation being born here or coming for religious reasons. Majority of people are Nikleo. That being said, dispite it's unarvanced nature, there are a small demographic of extra terrestrial people who who do reside here.
Government
Citan is a Theocratic-Diarchy where the nobile family and the church run the nation. The king is chosen by the goddess. She speaks to the Altha Alma and tells the current king when the next one is to be in power. The king then picks the priestess who will rule with him on behalf of the church.
The king and his family are responsible for the military and infrastructure of the nation. Defense is extremely important and any and all involving building, rebuilding, modifying any parts of the city go through the royal family. That includes religious buildings.
Meanwhile the church is in charge of money and enforcing the laws. The nation's taxes, tithing and offerings, and sales all are governed by the Church. The church pays for any wages, infrastructure and military needs.
That being said when it comes to laws, the church and royal family come together with it comes to making laws as they both work as checks and balances before pushing them up to the king and priestess.
Defences
Since the nation sits on a mountain, alot of its natural natural defense keep it mostly protected but there are many walls to separate the districts and add extra protection to the areas that were too open. Every district wall has multiple towers to reduce the chances of an attack along with every district having Barracks about every 10 miles apart for instant military defenses. In between many of the Baracks are churches, sanctuaries, temples, or homes for holy mages and/or Majaera
Industry & Trade
50% of of the money doesn't come from the market but instead from the churches. Many people donate to the churches because of their deep devotions to their religion. 30% comes from the many markets and the last 20 is pure taxes from both their citizens of all the nations the are over.
Infrastructure
The first building and most important one is the castle where the king and priestess chamber are. the castle sits on the mountains along with the nation being on a slope so the castle can be seen at almost every bit of the naion
in the center of the castle is where the king and priestess chambers and they get a view of the whole nation.
Many floors below are where one half of the floor Is where there are many chambers of the royal family along with anyone who they bring to live with them meanwhile the other half of that floor is where the altha alma reside along with higher ranked members of the church who were once A priestess or help with laws.
Below is the temples, the thrones and military and city capital where laws are passed and the largest and most beautiful churches are.
Because of how windy it can get there are many buildings that have wind catchers to redirect the cooler air to the lower parts of the ground to provide a breeze and offer limited power and electricity.
Districts
The first district is the city capital. This is the most beautiful part of rhe nation and majority is available for anyone to visit. This is where the biggest markets, best churches, and most amazing infrastructure is. There is a view of the whole nation is.
The parts of the first district that are closed off are any legal, military, and areas specifically for the royal families and/or the higer ranked members of the church.
The second district is where the business are and nobility live.
The next is the third where the middle lower class lives and lastly is the slums beyond the wall. This is where alot of off the market things happen.
Guilds and Factions
A small faction of those who oppose the churches control of the nation. They often meet in secret to talk about ways to depower thr church and would be anyone from the top officials in the royal family and Majaera to the people of the slums. About a seventh of the nation is under this guild.
