The Cartographer
Youthful features belies the Cartographer's age, her face framed by a soft linen coif that hides her neatly trimmed silver-streaked hair. Often seen in a sensible wool cloak and traveler's clothing, the only adornments she wears are the scholar's sikke and stole, both embroidered with a dated seal of the guild of scriveners, scribes and calligraphers.
Introspective and focused, she is often lost in thought while meticulously working on her maps. Known for her dry wit and worldly geographical knowledge, she values her solitude but welcomes occasional visitors seeking her expertise and trade. She has a soft spot for Gary, a raven who is her proven loyal companion and messenger.
The Cartographer embarked on a life of expedition and adventure long ago, preferring to travel alone using her peculiar instruments to survey the world and mark detailed annotations and sketches on her charts. Her only connection to the outside world is Gary who delivers maps and carries missives from a mysterious benefactor, and who in return ensures she has everything needed for her solitary expeditions.
