Rust Harbor
At the mouth of the silt-salt sea channel lies the remnants of a once-thriving industrial harbor, now rusted and decayed beyond recognition. Metal towers loom over the area like skeletal sentinels, their metal frames creaking ominously in the wind. The ground is a mixture of cracked clay, rusting metal, and mineral deposits over pools of stagnant mud that glow eerily at night.
The harbor’s old buildings have been overtaken by the encroaching silt, with some structures half submerged in the silt-salt sea, their roofs barely visible above the shifting dust.
Deeper: This harbor once served as a vital trade and transport hub, connecting distant parts of a vast empire. But the empire has long since fallen, leaving the harbor at the mercy of the elements. Rumors persist of valuable relics and resources hidden deep within the submerged ruins, but the journey to recover them is perilous.

East Harbor Wall Breech
Captain Argus Toffler of the Salty Witch, a weathered scavenger and seasoned silt skiff captain, has claimed a section of East Rust Harbor for his crew's dredging operations. However, the breach has made their salvage efforts nearly impossible. The raze larvae swarm the area, corroding metal and flesh alike, turning the harbor into a deadly deathtrap. Toffler seeks adventurers willing to defend his skiff and clear out the infestation from his claim in East Rust Harbor. Prerequisites:- Find Captain Argus Toffler in Rust Harbor
- A recent collapse in the harbor wall caused a breech to release raze larvae swarms into his claim.
- Defend the Salty Witch while the Cpt. Teoffler and crew dredge for salvage at the bottom of Rust Harbor.
- D4+1 salvage recovered awarded to adventurers as their share from the dredge.
- In this quest, the DM rolls D4 to determine the number of swarms encountered in a given exploration turn.
The Lost Barometer
Captain Toffler has heard whispers of a rare weather prediction instrument; a radiobaroscope said to have been crafted when Rust Harbor was still a thriving trade hub. Such a device could be invaluable, allowing him to predict the violent storms that often catch silt-skiffs unprepared. However, the last remaining radiobaroscope was spotted by salvagers tunneling deep into the ruins of a collapsed weather tower, overtaken by the shifting silt. The ruins are unstable and prone to sudden collapses, making the recovery mission hazardous. Prerequisites:- None, but knowledge of Rust Harbor’s layout is advantageous.
- Toffler needs someone to locate and recover the lost radiobaroscope buried in a decayed weather station deep in the harbor.
- Navigate through the treacherous, shifting ruins of the old weather station, recover the barometer, and return it to Captain Toffler.
- Exclusive access to Toffler’s weather predictions and a share of future salvage profits.
- A DEN of sorts, one with location hazards for traps, a few juvenile raze and lots of salvage for the enterprising party.
The Aspiring Captain
Dog Kicker, the tough and determined leader of the Rust Harbor Roustabouts, has spent years piecing together a skiff from scrap. Now, he wants to prove himself as a captain and needs a final piece of equipment: a functioning engine. He knows of one, rusted but serviceable, hidden in a long-abandoned dry dock on the outskirts of Rust Harbor. The catch? The area is controlled by a rival gang, the Salt Runners, who won’t give it up without a fight. Prerequisites:- Gain the trust of Dog Kicker and the Rust Harbor Roustabouts.
- Dog Kicker needs to help to retrieve a functioning engine from an old dry dock occupied by the Salt Runners.
- Infiltrate the dry dock, secure the engine, and ensure Dog Kicker’s skiff is ready to sail.
- A position on Dog Kicker’s crew or a share of the profits from his first salvage haul as captain.
- The mission may involve negotiation, sabotage, or outright combat with the Salt Runners.
- This one gains faction and favor for the party, and Dog Kicker's skiff, the Roustabout, is no slouch.
