Kreselrott Village

Overland travel on trade routes into the southern lands beyond the grip of the Corrhéonic Stand can be a barbarous yet profitable affair for the brave and desperate. To the uninitiated, the shirking silhouette of STRONGHOLD over the horizon may present itself as an ominous omen but the road is littered evidence of civilization and also the ingenuity of peoples long since forgotten. Brave homesteaders and settlers carve isolated sanctuaries from the wild wetlands, built atop the foundations made from ruins. Kresselrott is such a place, a transition between Corrhéo to elsewhere.   Deeper: The village of Kresselrott grew around prominent ruins that served as a meeting point for trade. A commodities market grew as the demand for exotic materials harvested from the coasts were traded for grain and livestock scarce along the channel coasts of Corrhéo. The Kresselrott Market operates independent of the Stand, much to their frustration, and the ever changing stocks of goods and services often means nearly anything can be found with enough luck and time.   [New Moon] A sluice feeds the enormous stock pond near the animal pens from a wind-pumped well just outside of the Kresselrott proper. On nights of the new moon, the villagers say that the dead watch from below the surface of the water.   In truth, the stock pond covers the lowest levels of the Black Priory, the site of the seat of power for the long forgotten Obsidian Knights. Each new moon, there is a [1:6] chance the Shade of an Obsidian Knight will appear. There is also a [1:6] chance the shade is that of Horka the Undying. None will speak, only watch and wait.   [Flayed Man Remains] If Horka the Undying is encountered, and the adventurers possess a piece of the Flayed Man's remains , it can be traded with Horka for a Greater Lore Asset.
