Hermit’s Hollow

A low-lying area of the marsh, distinctive for the Salt Mist which hangs in the air when north winds blow from the Silt-Salt Sea . The ground is moist and soft underfoot, with tufts of ochre Patchmoss punctuating the turf. Tannin-rich slurries of brackish water carry a sharp scent of brine.   Deeper: Fairly indiscreet, a small shelter is fashioned from the corroded hull of an old Silt Skiff in the misty haze. The salty air of the marsh has taken its toll. Piles of rust surround the hull. Abandoned, blanketed in Silica Dust [powdery, poisonous], adorned with d4 Trinkets and Baubles scavenged amongst the Peat.   The cabin has been hollowed and a landscape that mirrors the view out the window of the Silt-Salt Sea to the south has been carved into a massive Sandalwood root that has grown into a gap in the hull. The focus of the art is a on which a man sits carving into wood. The tree is conspicuously absent out in the actual scenery.   A colony of Dusksong Harpies in C-02 often use the massive Razorgilled Anemone growth at the near marsh edge as a hunting murder.
