Princess Lucia
Lucia dolo Cando is the heir apparent to the Calan throne, as the eldest child of Queen Fioralba.
She was born in Coromare to Fioralba dolo Cando and Goffredo dolo Sorro during the reign of her grandfather, King Arrats, and was then second in the line of succession. She became heir apparent when her mother ascended the throne in 496 GE.
Early Life
Lucia was born on 7 Young Moon, 494 GE during the reign of her maternal grandfather, King Arrats. Her mother, Fioralba dolo Cando, was then first in the line of succession for the Calan throne. Her father, Goffredo dolo Sorro, was the son of a prominent noble house with ties to the Celestialist priesthood. She was named for the light of the two Celestial deities, Maresol and Pareluna. Upon her grandfather's death in 496 GE, and her mother's subsequent ascension to the throne, Lucia was named heir apparent. A week following her mother's coronation, her younger brother Prince Eliodoro was born. Her cousins, Prince Celestino, Princess Aurora, and Princess Vespera followed within two years. All the royal children were raised together in the palace, and educated in the palace by a combination of Celestialist priests and Temporalist scholars, following the precedents set by past Calan monarchs. While their religious education was entirely Celestialist, the young royals were taught a wide variety of academic subjects, including written and spoken Naleedic.Mental characteristics
