The **Unseelie Court** is the dark and twisted counterpart to the **Seelie Court**, a reflection of the untamed, dangerous, and often cruel aspects of the Feywild. Where the Seelie embody warmth, light, and order, the Unseelie revel in the wild, the night, and chaos. Their court is one of ambition and ruthless cunning, where only the strong survive and bargains are rarely in the favor of those who make them.

The Rule of Mab

The Unseelie Court is ruled by Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness, a being of cold cruelty and boundless ambition. She was not always the ruler of the Unseelie - once, the throne belonged to her and Titania's mother, Maeve, a queen long since fallen from power. Though the details of Maeve’s downfall are shrouded in mystery, it is known that in the wake of the Feywild War, Mab rose to claim the throne. Whether Maeve was truly destroyed, merely banished, or still lingers in the dark places of the Feywild remains unknown.

The Nature of the Unseelie Court

The Unseelie Court is not merely a gathering of wicked fey; it is a court of power, ambition, and terror. While the Seelie may be bound by honor and beauty, the Unseelie see such things as tools to be wielded or discarded as necessary. There is no place for weakness among them, and betrayal is expected.

The Unseelie and Seelie Courts are locked in an eternal dance of opposition. While not always in open conflict, their interests rarely align. Titania, the radiant queen of the Seelie, and Mab, the cold ruler of the Unseelie, are sisters divided - two queens who can never truly destroy one another, for each is part of the same whole.

The Fate of Maeve: Some say she lingers in the shadows, biding her time, seeking vengeance against the daughter who usurped her. A nonsense song sung in Cormyr speaks of her sleeping beneath the trees.

The Wild Hunt: The most feared force of the Unseelie, the Wild Hunt (aka Dark Hunt), rides across the Feywild and the mortal world alike, seeking those who have earned the court’s wrath.
