Charn Lode
Charn Lodemore is a stout Dwarf with the broad shoulders and thick arms of a lifetime blacksmith. His hands are calloused and scarred, telling tales of decades at the forge. His soot-blackened face is framed by a braided black beard streaked with silver, and his piercing brown eyes gleam with a sharp, calculating intelligence. Charn’s usual attire includes a leather apron worn over practical, sturdy clothes, his belt bristling with tools and hammers that seem like extensions of his being.
The Charn the Smith smithy he runs is modest but meticulously kept, with rows of expertly crafted tools, weapons, and horseshoes lining the walls. A small forge burns constantly in the corner, casting warm, flickering light over his workspace. Each piece Charn creates carries a subtle touch of artistry, reflecting his pride in his craft even when his gruff demeanor might suggest otherwise.
Around his neck, hidden beneath his shirt, he wears a silver medallion engraved with a harp - the symbol of the Harpers. While he is a member of the organisation, his involvement is often reluctant and purely pragmatic, offering aid only when he sees fit.
Personality
Charn is gruff and pragmatic, valuing practicality over ideals. He has little patience for idealistic causes, often finding the Harpers’ secretive and lofty goals frustratingly out of touch with the realities of life in Tyrluk. That said, Charn is not without a moral code; he despises oppression and cruelty, quietly working to protect his town from such threats. His sharp wit and dry humour often leave others uncertain of his true loyalties, but those who earn his trust find him to be a stalwart ally. Beneath the gruff exterior, Charn harbours a quiet sense of duty to his community, ensuring that Tyrluk’s people are safe and well-armed to face the dangers of the region.
