The Fortress of Garlonn
Located overlooking a small harbor on the eastern side of the island of Rowes this forbidding looking fortress is the headquarters of the Syrican Brotherhood. The fortress includes a large dungeon complex than can house as many as a thousand prisoners. The brotherhood uses the fortress as the central hub of it slaving operations, a treasury and a center where the leaders of the brotherhood can meet.
Purpose / Function
The fortress has several roles. It works as a slave depot where the brotherhood can hold large numbers of prisoner. The brotherhood often buys prisoners of war and civilians swept up by pirates or bandit gangs. Trusted ship captains then bring these unfortunates to the fortress until they can be sent to buyers. A special dungeon is used for kidnap victims that are being held for ransom by the brotherhood. The order also maintains a treasury in the fortress which is rumored to contain a vast sum of silver, gold and jewels.
Architecture
The fortress is very strongly built with high, thick walls, high towers and strongly built gatehouses. Numerous artillery weapons and fire sprayers fill firing positions on walls. A squat central hall with a large copper dome is at the center of the complex.
