Kern Ator Arloss (a.k.a. The Conqueror)

Kern Arloss Ator (AKA Kern the Conqueror) – Kern was a very successful warlord in the southeast. For years he won battle after battle an expanded his domain into a great Kingdom. His own overconfidence ended his rise and nearly killed him. He led his army into a well laid ambush and the army was crushed. With no army behind him Kern’s Kingdom collapsed far more rapidly than it rose. Kern escaped with a dozen followers and the armor on his back. He has made his way to the northern lands where Kern and his men have been looking for a big score to rebuild his fortunes. Standing just over 6’ tall Kern is considered a giant by the standards of the southwestern lands. He is handsome, well-muscled with brown skin, shiny black hair worn in medium length braid and neatly trimmed beard. Kern usually wears a full-length mail coat, a half-helm, tear drop shield and his preferred weapon is a battle axe. He also carries a sword and a powerful composite bow. He is accompanied by his twelve loyal bodyguards who are equipped similarly to their leader. Kern is extremely charismatic and can be very charming if he wishes. He will especially shine if he is trying to seduce an attractive woman. He return’s loyalty with loyalty. Every one of his men has a story about how he saved their lives. Kern has problems with northern culture, particularly the high status of women compared to his own homeland. As a result, he often gets off on the wrong foot with powerful women.
