Crown's Hammer, The
This is a small elite detachment of the Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Tarrel. It's warriors are well-armed, highly experienced and competently led. The Unit is under the command Captain Arliss Armmos Gathari, an efficient and highly effective career officer. Princess Vellera, the King's daughter and fixer, uses the Fist as the central tool in her efforts to destroy the King's enemies. The Princess almost always travels with the unit as part of her entourage and takes a strong personal interest in its welfare.
Composition
Manpower
The unit currently has twelve permanent members, but can easily draw on other soldiers and spell-casters employed by the Kingdom of Tarrel.
Weaponry
The Unit is equipped as heavy cavalry. All members are mounted on heavy warhorses with studded leather barding. The unit members wear plate armor. For weapons they carry lances, long swords, battle axes and heavy crossbows. Most members of the unit carry shields.
Vehicles
The unit will often use a supply wagon or a group of pack horses is transport necessary supplies.
Structure
Informally Princess Vellera commands the unit, but Captain Arliss has operational command. Arliss is asssited by Lieutenant Barissa Dallris and Sergeant Kormand Korrand.
Tactics
The unit is proficient in heavy cavalry tactics. However the unit is comfortable fighting on foot and will act as missile troops by employing their heavy crossbows.
Training
When not on a mission the unit drills on a daily basis.
