Alya's Kommando

This is a small force of specially trained Alyite Warriors that carry out difficult missions that require stealth and unusual skills. The Kommandos typically wear leather armor usually covered over with a black surcoat. The will wear a light leather helmet or no helmet at all. They will use a variety of weapons including short bows, throwing stars, a variety of swords and daggers. They typically have variety grenades including smoke, explosives and incendiaries.Some members of each uni are either mages or priestesses.

Composition

Manpower

The Kommando are small units with 15-20 members. These warriors have been picked for their stealth and agility.

Equipment

Silk ropes and grappling irons, folding ladders, thief's tools, vials of acid for use against locks.

Weaponry

The Kommandos wear leather armor. Their weapons include shot bows, specialized crossbows, daggers, long and short swords. They use a variety of unusual weapons including grenades, smoke bombs, stink bombs and incendiaries.

Structure

These units are commanded by highly experienced Captains with the assistance of a lieutenant and an ensign. The ensigns are never new officer trainees, but rather experienced members of the unit picked for their leadership ability. These units are generally under the direct control of the Order's region commanders with two of the Kommandos being deployed north of the Spine, one at Zareb and two in the south.

Tactics

Infiltration using using stealth, deception and disguise are central to this units operations.

Training

The Kommando units take volunteers from the ranks and also pick knew recuits that look especially suitable. After being chosen they recive intense traing with tactics and equipment before they are used on a mission.
