Gladiator
Req. 16 STR and 16 CHA
1. Death or Glory: Passive
Whenever you kill an enemy, you gain 5 Glory. Whenever you win a combat encounter, gain 10 Glory. Glory can almost always be exchanged at a rate of 2:1 for local currency or you can spend 35 Glory for a level of reputation. A level of reputation grants you +1 Strength and +1 Charisma. Whenever you are defeated, you lose all your glory and one level of reputation.
2. Battle Styles: Passive
Pick one:
Sword and Shield: You have extra use of one item’s activated effect per encounter.
Trident and Net: Whenever you disarm an opponent they must roll against you to not fall prone.
Small Dual Melee: If your first attack deals damage subsequent attacks get +5 to partial.
3. Death and Glory: Encounter^10 Interrupt
When you would land a killing blow, roll a d20 and add your CHA mod. If the result is over 15 you make a spectacle and gain an additional 10 Glory. If you roll a 20 on the ac roll your attack is refreshed, and executes enemies at 10% HP or lower and grants and additional 15 Glory.
4. Are You Not Entertained?: Encounter^20 Action
Taunt all enemies within two range, and you get +5 to counter attacks until your next turn ends.
5. There is Word of Me: Daily^15 Action
Attempt to flex your reputation. Add your STR mod to a CHA check you’re making. Upon success, their affection is increased by a d3 until the next sunrise and +1 permanently.
6. A Challenger Appears: EoT Action
Mark a target within line of sight. While moving directly towards them you have +5 to evading opponent actions or attacks. For each unique de-buff or mark on that target you deal [CHA mod + STR mod] bonus physical damage against them.
7. Sex and Aggression: Passive
Your melee attacks deal bonus damage equal to your charisma stat. When you roll 18 or higher on an ac check against your character’s preferred gender, you may choose to expose them instead of dealing damage. Doing so renders them too embarrassed to attack or shift for a turn.
8. Take the Booty: Daily^25 Interrupt
If you or a melee range ally would reduce an enemy to 0 HP, you can roll CHA vs their CON, if you outroll them by 4 or if they’re simply willing, they offer themselves to you. You can take them as a companion or take their held items and gain a level of reputation instead. Outside of combat you can use this skill and a level of reputation to gain triple advantage on a cha roll.
9. Witness Me!: Daily Interrupt
Roll a d20 and add your CHA mod, anyone who rolls below your total witnesses you and you gain [Strength + Charisma]/2 glory and fury immediately. Until the end of your next turn all enemies who have witnessed you are marked as cowards and have -5 to defensive rolls they make. During this time you may trade your actions and shifts for attacks. Allies who have witnessed you may spend up to one action or shift a turn to grant you an extra interrupt attack during this time.
