Basic history

Early years

Saint Pythagoras was born in the year 1003 before magic. During his mortal lifespan he advanced science in the local reason, for this he was awarded immortality and Magical abilities by the gods upon his death. Upon being Sainted he was worshiped as a deity of knowledge and science.

Dominion

Pythagoras's dominion, or region of control is mostly centered around the northern continent, where there are several theocracies centered around Pythagoras as well as other Saints. These regions are often democratic (at least partially) and more scientifically advanced than surrounding regions.

Deitic war

Pythagoras was one of the most involved deities in the war, with the primary cause involving his feud with The Gambler as well as leading the saint side of the war. His role largely involved military strategy and coordination.

Clothing

Pythagoras was often observed wearing togas or other old fashion. Usually, he chose to avoid accessorizing but would always be seen with a pencil behind his ear. He frequently wore a headress or wrap to counter his baldness.

Physical appearance

Pythagoras was described as a Caucasian male, with a long curly red beard, his hair on top was described to be trapped in a state of reccession, as it had been when he was granted immortality.

Likes

Games of wit, feeling superior to others, large crowds, public speaking, and (if they existed when he was alive) energy drinks.

Being beaten, feeling disrespected, having other people not listen to him, and meditation.

Tendencies

The Saint had a tendency to travel in a pack, whether that be with his fellow saints, or with a large group of adoring mortals. He frequently could be found playing games of chance (such as the one that led to his downfall) especially ones that included a deductive reasoning elements.

Pythagoras beleived in the laws of the universe, to a point where he hated that which defied them.

Pythagoras's power's centered around being able to change the number of things. This ranged from the ability manipulate universal constants, such as the rate of gravity, to simply changing one apple to two. This led to him being regarded as a god of science and math, who could litterally see and manipulate the way mathematics and physics worked.

Symbolism

Pythagoras is best symbolized by his Pythagroean theorum, a math equation he invented as a mortal that became a signature spell. The equation is now common knowledge, with it's magical properties significantly depleted. Other symbols include: right triangles, and his temples of math and science in the Southern Bishopric.
