Sir, The Frost Dragon Percival Ruesson (a.k.a. Valu)
Sir Percival the Frost Dragon is a human man and a member of the The Wanderer Knights. Raised in the Stronghold by parents who were also part of The Wanderer Knights, Percival never even considered a less violent career path. The harsh emotional enviornment did lead the naturally emotional Percival to develop some scars and a persona he calls 'the mask'. Percival is naturally left handed and uses a spear in combat either on foot or mounted on his Continental Horse. Percival is one of the founding members of the group. He is the emotional center of the Group, while Nightingale is the leader. Every member of the Group stays because Percival is kind to them and treats them with respect. To some this presence is more of a dad energy, others its just warmth.
To sum him up: Big heart, big self loathing.
In modern Moumin his name is written with the sounds pe-rn-ce-va-lu ru-e-so-n.
Physical Description
Apparel & Accessories
Armour made of Frost Dragon scales and hide which provide resistance to all elements at the cost of the armor being chilly if worn without under armor.
Specialized Equipment
A shortened and modified pike that can be wielded with only one arm.

Personal history
Born within the Stronghold and submitted to The Wanderer Knights as soon as he could walk by his parents, who are also Knights. trained in the lance and shield combat, also mounted combat. The training did do some damage to Percival.
Graduating into The Wanderer Knights at age sixteen and starting to go on real missions half a year later. Percival has been on hundreds of missions over his life, and has taken no human life but has killed a few fairies. It wasn't until he was 41 that he finally got a sigil of a lesser frost dragon.
Currently at the age most knights would retire and with a limb missing, Percival is no longer in his prime but he still fights.

Asexual and Demimantic, but Percival was raised in a time and place with no lgbtq+ resources so he doesn't use these terms to describe himself. All he knows about himself is that romance simply isn't a piece of life he bothers with.

Part of the Wanderer Knights for 25 years and still employed by them as an active Knight.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Single handedly defeated a Lesser Frost Dragon, earning him his small sigil.
Mental Trauma
Lost his non-dominant arm (his right) all the way to the deltoid. This along with his age has imbedded in Percival's mind the idea of the end of his prime. These intrusive negative thoughts are constantly playing either in the back of his mind or in the front of it. He also gets triggered by cold sensations, feeling his age, and hearing his full title aloud. Percival describes the feeling as a throbbing in his right shoulder and side. Also sinks in and out of depressive episodes full of guilt and self hate.
Intellectual Characteristics
Fairly smart, not incredibly well read. Able to understand and read people with ease, being the correct presence for the situation to get optimal emotional results. He is unable to do this for himself though.

Percival wants to be happy, to be active in his life, to protect his new found family. He also wants to understand his trauma and find answers that can resolve it.

Mother died a while ago, father is retired and lives in the desert but not in the Stronghold. Percival sees his father for new years and not much else. Their relationship is distant and fairly cold. Percival doesn't know any other Ruessons.

Mannerisms
Sir Percival has something that he calls 'the mask' which is a manner he puts on to talk to strangers and to hide in when he is stressed. The mask is very different from the true Percival that hides behind it. The mask has an easier time 'being worn' when Percival is very angry, sometimes becoming less like a mask and more like a blanket, as he describes it. The mask contains in it: a forceful nature, pride and boastful language, more puffed and ceremonial body language, willingness to mention rank or any other subject Percival can use to be the dominant player in a conversation.
Percival is also a master of changing the subject when he doesn't want to talk about something. it doesn't work at full capacity when faced by Nightingale's questions.

Galanthus was the one who cared for Percival after he lost his arm. Percival used her as his rock from then on. This led to Galanthus developing a crush on him and she started hiding emotional secrets from him.

Nightingale's brashness and unsubtlety in conversation make her the perfect person to get past Percival's conversation mastery when he uses it to avoid questions. Azul doesn't know Percival as well as the others yet but that hasn't stopped the respect from happening. Also Azul knows next to nothing about the Stronghold's culture so doesn't think of Percival as old.
