Alchemist

The lowest rank of medical practitioners in the Emperical Alchemy Laboratory, an alchemist is a generic medicine maker. Their job is to create medicines for a patient's illness, and then apply them to each specific case. This is the starting point from which a medical practitioner will specialize into one of two branches: the Alcurers and the Alnurses. Alcurers diagnose illnesses and develop new forms of medicine to treat illness. Alnurses perform physical tasks in medicine such as mending wounds and surgery. Alnurses also study human and fairy physiology, neuropsychology, biopsychology, and biology. Alcurers study chemistry, psychology, epidemiology, and pharmacology.
