Saving Xanthea
The party found themselves at the edge of Brightwood where two guards had been brutally slain. The only clue left behind was a single black curly hair, identified as belonging to Randir, Valygar's son.
Undeterred, the group, accompanied by Valygar and Mazzy, ventured into the eerie Nevermore Forest. There, they encountered a puppet and engaged in a fierce battle. After overcoming the puppet, the party decided to tie it up for interrogation.
In a moment of strategic questioning, the party asked the puppet about the possibility of saving Xanthea. To their relief, the puppet nodded in affirmation. However, hopes were shattered when they inquired about saving the other kids, to which the puppet shook its head. Frustrated yet determined, the group decided to sever one of the puppet's hands.
Ankhos was tasked with carrying an origami-bat note, he was entrusted to deliver to Sister Bliss. The note conveyed the urgent need for assistance from Deep Run, requesting someone skilled in casting True Resurrection to come to their aid. During their exploration, the party also discovered a staff on the puppet, noting that the connection to it's master seemed to be severed.
The mysteries continued to unfold, leaving the group with more questions than answers as they pressed forward in their quest to save Xanthea and bring her father to justice.
