Bloody Hell
After putting an end to the dark puppeteer's malevolent plans, the party retrieved a magical lamp from the corpse of Edmund, along with various other magical items.
Valygar the Guardsman went missing, prompting the players to follow him into the ziggurats basement. Descending into the depths of the old dungeon, the air became thick with moist, and the flickering light of torches revealed crumbling stone walls covered in moss and mold. After a while, the corridor led them to a staircase that descended into a square room. Dimly lit by burning torches, the space felt eerie. The floor was cold and uneven, and the scent of iron permeated the air, hinting at the mysteries and dangers that lay ahead.
Exploring further, they stumbled upon a chilling scene; a room adorned with shackles and surgeon instruments, with a lifeless body in tattered clothing lying on the table. Nearby, a large blood vessel protruded from the wall, pulsating with an otherworldly energy and emitting a slow, ominous heartbeat.
Their journey culminated in an altar room, where some party members where grabbed by bloody veins and dragged down into the darknes. After regrouping, they found themselves surrounded by walls and ceiling composed of pulsating, fleshy material, giving the unsettling impression of being inside the belly of some colossal beast. In the center of the room, a massive heart beat rhythmically, suspended by thick, pulsating arteries. It radiated an unnatural light, casting surreal shadows on the fleshy walls.
The party vanquished the heart, their collective efforts culminating in victory. Hurriedly, the group made their escape from the dungeon of the ziggurat, narrowly avoiding catastrophe as the structure collapsed into the ground just moments after their departure.
