The Thousand Worlds Market

The Thousand Worlds Market is an area dedicated to trade.  With so many merchants coming and going on Confluence, this place was set up by a husband and wife team of early arrivals, Baldur and Constantia Viggins.    The Vigginses set up and maintain rows of market stalls, which can be hired at a daily rate by any merchant who wants one, on a first-come, first-served basis.  In practice, a number of stalls have permanent tenants, who hire urchins or other retainers to stay with "their" stall to prevent anyone else claiming it. The daily rate for a stall can vary from 5 gold to 50 gold, depending on the quality of the location.    Even though the Vigginses spend handsomely to keep the stalls well maintained, and the market swept, clean and inviting, their foresight and investment have made them very wealthy indeed. They have hired a private security force to maintain order in the market.
